Nose: Right off the bat, you catch a whiff of orange mixed with some candy.
Palate: When you take a sip, it’s like a wave of different flavors. Quite the mineral taste, but still fruity and sweet.

It’s very smoky, but it’s not as good as many mezcals I’ve tried. Good for a regular drink or for a cocktail, but nothing fancy

We picked up a bottle of number 4 and number 3 here in Oaxaca for a side-by-side comparison. For the price (~$45) we were pretty impressed. I found No. 4 to be a bit smoother and more tasty than the more expensive No. 3. This is an easy decision at the price point.

Maybe a bit better as a cocktail mezcal…but it’ll do as a sipper when you’re in a pinch.

I personally like to drink them in cocktails, I guess the way it was prepared didnt help.

This is a solid espadin. Smoky and citrusy. For its rather accessible price, this is definitely a better one. It’s a recurring guest in my home mezcal selection
