Hits you with a bouquet of aromas, from the rich earthiness of the soil to a subtle layer of spices. Every sip adds a new layer of its depth, with a robust body and a long, engaging finish. You really need a few copitas to get it all 🙂
You can smell and taste the clay quite a bit. Lots of grass, vegetal taste. For having 50%, this mezcal is actually quite smooth, not too aggressive. Enjoyable, although not my absolute favorite, mostly because the clay is a bit too powerful for the rest of the flavors. Totally unrelated, but I really enjoy the 5 misterios bottle design.
