Papadiablo Mezcal, a brand that stands out for its artisanal production process, is crafted by the skilled hands of Don Alberto Ortiz in Bramaderos Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. The brand is known for its unique blend of Espadin, Bicuixe, Madrecuixe, and Mexicano agaves, which take 10 to 12 years to mature before they are harvested. The mezcal is then distilled in copper stills and fermented naturally without the use of sulfites or yeasts. Papadiablo prides itself on distilling to proof, meaning no water is added to adjust the alcohol volume. The result is a mezcal that is as pure as it comes out of the still. This commitment to quality and tradition earned Papadiablo a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2014.
