Founded in 2015, 5 Sentidos, also known as Cinco Sentidos, is the brainchild of two friends from opposite sides of the US who met in Oaxaca. Initially, they set out to discover unique mezcals across Mexico and serve them in a small mezcaleria. This venture eventually evolved into a highly-acclaimed 32-seat restaurant, and their nano-batch spirits started to make their way into the collections of spirits enthusiasts outside of Mexico. 5 Sentidos is all about celebrating the diversity of agave and the traditions of the people who make the spirits with rigor and esteem. They don't blend, age, or alter the spirits from their original form. The brand's offerings are a curated tour of Mexico, made by some of the best mezcaleros in the region.
Very musty/funky and oily viscosity for a madrecuishe. I actually wouldn’t have even guessed that it was an MC. But the flavors are so complex and nuanced. I want to drink it all the time, but I don’t want to run out. I will never not have this bottle in my home bar.
