Tosba Tobala

Founded by two cousins from San Cristóbal Lachirioag, Oaxaca, Mezcal Tosba was born out of a desire to revive the disappearing mezcal production and bring economic opportunity to their home region. The brand, whose name means "only one" in the Zapotec language, is deeply rooted in the ancient Zapotec traditions and values the land, water, and community. Tosba is a microbusiness that started in the year 2000, and it has grown steadily since, with the founders patiently waiting for their agaves to mature while working various jobs in Silicon Valley. Today, they are proud to offer distinctive mezcal made from their estate-grown agaves, continuing to develop their ranch, operations, and region.
