Its founders, with deep ties to Oaxacan culture, prioritize preserving ancestral mezcal-making techniques. Yuu Baal not only offers a genuine taste of Oaxaca but also embodies a blend of modern responsibility and age-old traditions.
Probably exactly what you would expect from a big box store brand. It’s nothing extraordinary, but a decent bottle to keep around the house to sip on non-special occasions. I wouldn’t break it out to celebrate anything though.
This espadin has got some citrusy vibes and a bit of smoke. Especially for a rather big production mezcal and the low price point, I didn’t find it too bad. It’s quite strong on the nose, so you don’t get many subtle notes.
