It’s a collaboration with a 6th generation, family-owned producer, the Jacquez family, who renamed their company Sotol Don Celso to honor the late Celso Jacquez. The spirit is distilled from the wild-harvested hearts of the Dasylirion plant, native to the Chihuahuan and Sonoran deserts. Sotol, not an agave or cactus, is a resilient plant, maturing between 8-22 years and capable of reblooming post-harvest. The brand's name, meaning "forever" in Spanish, encapsulates a commitment to preserving the ancient art of sotol distillation, ensuring that the legacy of this unique spirit lives on for generations.
