"Los Amantes Mezcal" is a brand that has been crafting artisanal mezcal since 2003. The brand's name, which translates to "The Lovers," is inspired by the Aztec legend of Mayahuel, the goddess of agave. The distillery, located in Tlacolula de Matamoros, Oaxaca, was the first to be internationally certified, bearing the NOM 001X. Los Amantes Mezcal is a testament to tradition, culture, and taste, offering a range of mezcals that capture the essence of Oaxaca. The brand is part of the organization "Oaxaca Tierra del Mezcal," which seeks to improve the quality of life of Oaxacan producers and exports more than two million liters of mezcal a year.
I did enjoy it, but I’m missing some depth and complexity, which I would expect from an aged mezcal.
I might get some hate for this, but I gotta be honest – I didn’t enjoy it that much. Just not my thing
