Each expression of Derrumbes represents a unique region, chosen to highlight the traditions, terroir, and historical taste of each village where it is made. The brand works with different master mezcaleros across various regions, including Oaxaca, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, and Tamaulipas. Each mezcal is crafted using traditional techniques and local agave varieties, resulting in a diverse range of flavors and styles. Derrumbes Mezcal is not just a drink, it's an exploration of Mexico's rich biocultural heritage and the abundant expressiveness of its soils, climates, and agave species.
Blew me away with its quality. It’s super smooth, with a hint of fruitiness that’s not too overpowering. The smokiness is just right, making it a great drink for special occasions or just relaxing at home. And for the price, this one is automatic.
More and more good mezcals seem to come from Durango. This cenizo has sweetness, I get some vanilla/caramel. Also herbal and fresh. It’s easy to sip. It has a rather low smokiness. It is very smooth, almost buttery.
