As a wine lover, I’m not super into strong spirits normally, but this mezcal was surprisingly easy to appreciate. It’s got character without being overpowering.
The Amaras Reposado is quite sweet, with lots of vanilla notes and some oak. I am normally not that big of a reposado fan, but I’ve had it with a friend of mine who’s more of a whisky drinker. He really enjoyed it as he is new to mezcal and it seems like reposados are a good entry mezcal for that.
This is a rather standard espadín, nothing really special.
