Perfect balance from Yola

It’s a basic espadin. Nothing about it is particularly remarkable, but nothing is off-putting either.

On the smoky side, strong, great for cocktails!

That one is definitely on the smokier side, but hey, that’s what we’re here for?! Quite strong, so I wouldn’t wanna sip it all night, but very tasty anyway. Earthy, minerally and citrusy, that’s what I like.

I tried it in a mezcalita and that is where it actually shines! Good one for cocktails indeed.

Yola Mezcal

Yola Mezcal, a brand with a unique feminist twist, was founded in 1971 by Yola Jimenez's grandfather. However, it was in 2010 that Yola, along with partners Gina Correll Aglietti and Lykke Li, revitalized the brand with a strong focus on female empowerment. The company is entirely run by women, from the bottling to the business operations, and is committed to providing economic stability for the women of Oaxaca. Yola Mezcal is an artisanal mezcal, produced using traditional methods, and stands out for its commitment to maintaining the same recipe and process since its inception. The brand's philosophy revolves around strength, independence, and sustainability, making it a truly distinctive player in the mezcal market.
